Well, I quit my job. Again.
The story is pretty much the same as it was five years ago. But this time it was even tougher to say goodbye to my friends at work, who I’m really going to miss. And this time I’m planning to be a vagabond even longer.
I’ll likely spend the next six months or so exploring more of the incredible American West. I want to revisit some of my favorite places, like Zion and Yellowstone. And I want to check out some places I haven’t seen yet, like Thousand Island Lake, Goblin Valley, and White Sand Dunes National Monument.
After that I think I’ll head overseas. Probably not for a full year straight again, more likely for a series of 3-4 month trips with breaks in between. But who knows? Far more fun to play it by ear.
The list of places I want to go and things I want to do keeps growing. I want to see Mongolia, Malaysia, the Philippines, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, and Madagascar. I want to learn how to fly fish. I want to go to the five U.S. National Parks I haven’t visited yet. I want to improve my ability to speak Spanish. I want to see Iceland and Patagonia again. I want to photograph Yellowstone in every season.
Time flies!

Wow, on the road again!! Lucky you Rob. I can’t wait to view your pictures and read your adventure stories.
Best regards and safe travel.
